Are you facing difficulty due to the sluggish market?
Are you waiting for a miracle to happen or you seriously think that you wanna do something about it? If so, then you've got two choices now. Hope that things will be better automatically doing what you are doing currently - or - Do something different, something real challenging... What's your pick?
Naturally, doing something differently makes more sense than waiting for the situation to turn around on its own. Isn't it? This option might seem that - your success or failure is principally out of your control but according to me, this option seems better than giving the control in to the hands of destiny.
If I get a chance I would rather take this as an opportunity and make things happen good because I have lot of ideas (quite a lot of good ones), that will make any business successful in any economy.
Before going any further, you need to give a thought why your product is not working, and people aren't buying it. You need to ask yourself a question and then ask internet a question and reason of your 'slow down'.
To start with - you can initially check with the market if your product is too expensive in comparison to your competitors. Is the level of quality up to the par or are you offering something that is not the current necessity of the market.
Have you proved your existence in the market or whatever you are selling is in demand in that market? Or are you are relying on the word of mouth publicity instead of adequate marketing? It would be much easier to take decisions based on the answers derived from these questions.
It's time to come up with new ways of business. Make use of modern advertising such as pay-per-click, gossips, etc. Always remember that a person who has bought inexpensive product from you should be always ready to buy the most expensive products from you.
You need to develop that 'niche'. According to me, going for a larger market immediately would be a bad idea, instead, hunt for 'lower hanging fruits'. Nowadays, people need an exact solution - they need an exact product, a specialist…and they are willing to pay for it, you know that! Right?
